Dear GERATEC Team,

We’ve recognised the need to reassess our internal structure to support our core team better and
improve efficiency.

As part of this restructuring, I will continue overseeing the company with the support of the team
while dividing the company’s focus into three key areas, each led by a dedicated business leader:

  • Ide-Marie Venter – Business Leader: Care
  • Melanie Crozier – Business Leader: Operations
  • Willem Myburgh – Business Leader: Training

 

Ide Marie Venter

Ide Marie Venter will serve a dual role at GERATEC as the Dietician and the Care Business Leader. In
her capacity as Dietician, she is responsible for developing and implementing nutrition care services
that meet the specific dietary needs of our residents, ensuring their health and well-being. As the
Care Business Leader, Ide will also oversee the care team, coordinating efforts to deliver high-quality,
compassionate care across all facilities. Her combined expertise in nutrition and leadership will be
instrumental in fostering a holistic approach to elder care at GERATEC, reinforcing our commitment
to excellence in service delivery.

Melanie Crozier

Melanie Crozier will have a combined role at GERATEC as the Business Development Manager and
Operations Business Leader. As the Business Development Manager, she will focus on identifying
growth opportunities and building strong client relationships to drive the expansion of our services. As
the Operations Business Leader, Melanie oversees the efficient delivery of our operations, ensuring
that catering and housekeeping services meet the highest standards. Her dual expertise allows her to
streamline processes and manage resources effectively, ensuring that we consistently meet our
client’s needs while fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.

Willem Myburgh

Willem Myburgh is joining GERATEC full-time as the Business Leader for GERALearn, focusing on
internal and external training and development, transitioning from his previous role as a consultant on
our Eden Alternative project role as a consultant on our Eden Alternative projects. In this position, he
will oversee all aspects of training within the organisation, equipping our staff with the latest
knowledge and skills in older person care. Willem’s nsive training programs that enhance the

professional development of our team members and uphold the high standards of service that we
strive to deliver.

Colette de Wet & Gerswin Isaacs

Colette de Wet and Gerswin Isaacs will continue their roles as Food Quality Managers while
expanding their responsibilities to oversee all aspects of their units, similar to the previous Area
Managers. They will be the primary point of contact for all unit managers, who will report directly to
them. Colette and Gerswin will, in turn, report directly to Melanie, ensuring streamlined
communication and effective management across the organisation.
The Allocation of the units is as follows:

  • Colette: Vonkepark, Silver Oaks, Huis Ria Abel, Geluksoord
  • Gerswin: Nazareth House, Paradyskloof, Langverwag, Huis Vergenoegd, De Oude
    Renbaan

 

Bonnie Johnston

Bonnie will continue to focus on ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Housekeeping
standards while taking on the Relief Foodservice Manager role. In this combined role, she will oversee
adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices in both areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic
environment. Bonnie will report directly to Melanie, facilitating effective communication and support
within the organisation.
